Team ROGII at IMAGE'24 Recap

Sep 12, 2024

Team ROGII had an incredible experience at IMAGE’24, one of the most prominent events in the geoscience and drilling community.

As a gathering point for professionals across the globe, IMAGE provides a unique platform for showcasing the latest innovations and exchanging insights on new technologies shaping the future of the industry.

During our time at IMAGE’24, we were proud to demonstrate our latest Geoscience and Drilling Optimization tools and workflows, which were met with enthusiasm from attendees.

Key highlights of the event

  • Geosteering in 3 dimensions: We demonstrated StarLite Pro, which allows for Geosteering on the go in the StarLite app. With the Apple Vision Pro, you can easily steer in virtual reality while multi-tasking.

  • Resistivity: Clients from all over the world were interested in learning more about our Resistivity modeling in StarSteer, including Two-Layer Inversion, Multi-Layer Inversion, and our new Deterministic Inversion (coming this month!).

  • Geoscience workflows: We showcased some of the latest Geoscience functionality and workflows coming to StarSteer, including improvements in mapping, well planning, and new attribute calculations. Clients were impressed with the new improvements and features coming.

  • Integration of time-series data: ROGII continues to integrate more time-series drilling data into our projects. At Image, we demonstrated new slide/rotate and Days v Depth status displays in StarLite, as well as automapping in Solo Feed.

  • Preparing for the World Cup: One of the most popular demonstrations ROGII had at Image was an overview of the Geosteering World Cup. The Geosteering World Cup is one of the premier ROGII events of the year, and we took the time at IMAGE to give some tips and tricks for how to prepare for the event.

As we wrap up the incredible experience of IMAGE'24, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it unforgettable—our amazing attendees and our inspiring speakers, Matt Mayer (TGS), Charles Connell (PetroAI), Andrew Stearns (TGS) for their insightful presentations.

Congratulations to Barry Caspar from ExxonMobil, the winner of our raffle contest, who won the ROGII Golf Bag!

We’d also like to thank the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and SEG for organizing such a fantastic event and bringing together the brightest minds in Geoscience and Energy.Once again, thank you for visiting our booth and interacting with our team. We look forward to welcoming you back next year at IMAGE '25!
